Can the Harry Potter franchise cause unfortunate implications? (more info)?

I don't think the success of any books should be compared to any other. If a book is good, then it's good, regardless of how its impact is on the society. But it's common to compare a new book to other good old ones. Until now, we're still comparing new books to Lord of The Rings, and Pride and Prejudice and other classics. And I don't think I see the harm in that. New books will be published, and maybe some would later be considered in the same rank.
