My friend got yelled at by our manager. Was I rude to not agree with her?

You're right that she was unprofessional but as a friend you should have been gentler or led her to an employee room or a ladies loo to calm herself down instead of ordering her to suck it up. She had no right to act like a child but you were a bit harsh.
