Why is Obama succeeding in spite of attacks, gossip, and lies?

How much negativity will this president endure. Republicans have NO respect for the office of the POTUS. Even in doing what Bush and Cheney failed to do by torturing, Obama has done with complete transparency. He made an operation like this a team effort with conviction and sensitivity to surrounding civilians while carrying out Bin Ladens head on a pike.
