Why do Republicans/Tea-Partiers act like the Deficit is a new thing that Obama created?

It's not a new thing, but Obama and the Democrats added about 6 trillion to it in record time. Starting with Pelosi and Reid taking over the House and the Senate in Nov 06 and continuing to this day.
